What Semu is

Semu is a tool that helps you make children's books inside Canva, using an AI website you are signed in to (ChatGPT, Gemini or Grok). Semu is an independent product. It is not made by, endorsed by or connected with Canva, OpenAI, Google, xAI or Amazon.

Your other accounts

Semu works with your own Canva account and the AI website you choose. It never connects to Amazon KDP: you upload and publish your book there yourself. Your accounts with these companies, their plans, their limits and their rules are between you and them. Semu adds no cost to them, and cannot change their limits.

Free trial and payment

After you sign in, you can make 20 pictures and 20 picture edits with Semu for free. After that, Semu is a one-time purchase, at the price shown on our Pricing page when you buy. Your purchase is processed by Dodo Payments, which is the merchant of record and adds any sales tax that applies.

Your purchase gives you lifetime access to Semu. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the product, not of a person: you can keep using Semu for as long as we offer it and it is able to run. There is no subscription and nothing to renew. One purchase is for one person.

Lifetime access covers Semu as it is when you buy it. We may add, change or remove features over time, and we are not obliged to build new features or to keep any one feature as it is.

Semu depends on services we do not control, such as Google Chrome, Canva and the AI websites. If one of them changes in a way that stops part of Semu, or all of it, from working, we will make reasonable efforts to adapt, but we cannot promise that a fix will be possible. If Semu is discontinued, your lifetime access ends with it; where we can, we will tell you in advance.

None of these situations gives a right to a refund. Refunds are only those described in our Refund policy, except where the law of your country requires otherwise.

Your books

What you make is yours. You are responsible for what you publish, including checking that your book follows Amazon KDP's rules and does not copy anyone else's work. Semu helps with KDP's sizes and checks, but cannot promise that KDP will accept a book.

Fair use

Do not share your account, resell Semu, try to get around the free trial or the payment, or use Semu for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.

Changes and availability

Canva and the AI websites change their pages often, and Semu has to follow them. We work to keep it working, but we cannot promise it will always work without interruption. We may improve or change Semu over time.

Liability

Semu is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost sales, or problems caused by other companies' services. Our total responsibility is limited to what you paid us.
